WHAT'S AN ESCAPE GAME?
You've probably heard of escape rooms? That's where a small group gets locked in a room and has to work together to achieve a common goal. That might be plain old escaping, or something like solving a mystery or rescuing a kidnapped spy.
Our escape games offer the same kind of fun, thematic puzzle-solving experiences, but mobile! And allowing a lot more people to participate.
WHAT MAKES THIS SO GREAT FOR TEAMS?
When everyone works together, everyone wins. Is there a more important message you can give your team? That's what players learn as they solve puzzles, then come together as a group to reap the rewards.
Our games teach the following:
And everyone has a great time along the way!
Our games are perfect for:
New-hire training events
Any group gathering that needs a fun activity!
HOW DOES THE EVENT WORK?
We come to you! Our fully facilitated games (we run everything from start to finish) can be set up in your company's meeting room or an offsite location: hotel, restaurant, conference center, etc.
Whatever the location, we'll just need tables (usually anywhere from 3-9, depending on number of players) and enough space to accommodate them.
The games themselves...
...are fun and funny!
...usually take around 60 minutes to play.
...can be played by large groups all at the same time.
...require everyone to work together. This is not about competition; it's about cooperation!
...end with a reward for each player!
Once the game is over, your host will offer a summary explaining the various teamwork concepts introduced in the game and how they can be applied to everyday business.

WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?
Escape Games To Go is the brainchild of Rick Broida, who in 2014 brought the top-rated escape room Trapped in a Room with a Zombie to Detroit. Recognizing the incredible fun of the team-driven puzzle-solving experience, he decided to go mobile -- with games that could "pop up" just about anywhere and be played by dozens (or maybe hundreds!) of people all at once.
Just as important, Broida wanted the games to be funny and engaging. "I've seen some teambuilding events that were really low-key -- 'Here are your puzzles, go solve 'em' -- and therefore not much fun for the participants," he said. "That's why I created the character Vladibeard the Pirate, who gets everyone pumped up and laughing and having a great time."
Broida also spent 14 years writing CNET's popular Cheapskate blog. His other writing credits include Lifehacker, Money, PC World, Popular Science, and Wired. He frequently guests on WJR's "Internet Advisor" show and has co-hosted numerous podcasts, including Battlestar Recaptica and Protocol 1.
